There are many areas of the society where issues like poor quality of education and health facilities, lack of employment opportunities and proper infrastructure are still prevalent. The company believes in taking up a socio-economic approach for creating a better world, and hence, the “Viraj charitable Trust” was formed in 2002 to support numerous social and government activities like Women Welfare, Medical and Health Improvement Initiatives, Education Initiatives and other social causes.

The trust consciously acts towards abolishing these problems by continuously attempting to bring holistic and sustainable development in the needy and deprived areas and uplifting the less fortunate people.

Some of their activities include -

Donations to the National Association of Blind, Nashik (NAB) to carry out eye operations for visually challenged individuals.

Donations to Drought-Relief funds.

Dharmachakra Prabhav Tirth

Mr. Rajendra Rasiklal Shah and Mr. Vilas Rasiklal Shah, the board members of Viraj Estates have generously donated a 13 acre land to build “Dharmachakra Prabhav Tirth” a temple which is located 12 km from the Vilholi village and has become a symbol of spirituality and bliss.

Nestled in nature, this 135 feet high Temple is beautifully adorned with holy sculptures depicting the divine interventions in our lives. The Jinalaya of Triloknath in the Temple is three-storied and each floor signifies the reign of the Almighty over all three realms of life. Magnificent sculptures of great pilgrims, Siddhachal, Abuu, Girnar, and Shikhar represent four directions, and they are a sight to behold. The basement of the Tirth is adorned with a 12-foot idol of Lord Mahavir, which is the holiest place of the Tirth.

By creating a place as holy as the several pilgrim places, the Tirth has provided about 4 lac devotees with a place that radiates power. Here any visitor is warmly invited and made sure that they have a comfortable visit.

Shreemad Vijay Surwarji Bhuvan Bhanu Jeev Daya Trust

Gaushala (Panjarapol)

Animals are closely connected with our Gods and stand significant importance in our scriptures. Being kind to animals is one of the main teachings of the Hindu religion and cow is the ‘mother’ according to the mythologies.

This trust was initiated to provide shelter to the cows living in the neglected neighbourhoods. Gaushalas are the way of worshipping and treating cows in accordance with Hindu philosophy and traditions and protecting their presence amongst us.

Approximately 800 cows are well fed and taken care of every day, in this Gaushala located AT DHARMACHAKRA PRABHAV TIRTH Vilholi. Most of these cows have been rescued from slaughterhouses and 90% of them are non-milking.

Kantaben Rasiklal Shah Charitable Trust

Kantaba Sankul Dharamshala and Bhojanshala at Girnarji Tirth, Junagadh in Gujarat is one of the major activities of a family managed trust dedicated to religious activities. Girnarji Tirth is one of the holiest pilgrimage of Jains. It is unique as both the Digambar and Shwetambar Jains have temples located on the gigantic mountain of Girnar. It witnesses thousands of pilgrims every year.

Taking into consideration the lack of proper arrangements for accommodations and food, the founders of the company decided to build a Dharmashala for the devotees and make their contribution to the Tirth. In the loving memory of their late mother Mrs. Kantaben Rasiklal Shah, they named it as Kantaba Sankul Dharamshala.

The place is spread over an area of almost 2 acres and comprises 72 rooms, 2 dormitories, 2 pravachan halls and a bhojan shala. It is the only bhojanshala in Girnar that runs throughout the day. Being a non-profit initiative, both the accommodation and food are very economically priced, only for the self-sustenance of the trust without gaining any profits out of it. Located right at the foothills of the Tirth, it is very convenient for the pilgrims.

Laxmi Narayan Trust

The company believes if people are well fed and don’t have to worry about their basic necessities of food, clothing and shelter, they can work towards improving their lives and in turn the society. Hence, the company generously donates to the trust which mainly focuses on eradicating hunger by daily feeding hundreds of unprivileged people. It is a way to provide comfort to the unfortunates and try to make this world a better place.
